Express Employee Reviews

When I was employed by Express, I feel that the opportinity for growth always existed. Especially if you were mobile to another market. If you weren't mobile, there was still opportunity, you may just have to wait a little longer for a position to become available.6

I usually was able too. Store manager would occassionaly deny my request off if she wanted the same day off.(Even if I requested it way in advance of her).

I felt that reviews and feedback were consistent. However, despite my 20+ years of "meet or exceeds expectation" annual reviews, I was offered a severance during the 2020 layoffs equivalent to 3 months pay or stay with the co., and get an hourly paycut of $7/hr. The management claimed that corporate wasn't looking at the layoff decisions based on merit/performance or tenure. They should have. They most certainly lacked the integrity to live up to their own core values... even though I had.
