Calm Employee Reviews

C-Level Execs and Founders are extremely strong, positive, and trustworthy. However, VPs never want to be held accountable if things go array. For example, without naming names...the VP of DevOps is nowhere to be found, Engineers are extremely slow to release/refactor any code, Product does not like to take ownership if new features are shipped and do not work out (i.e. the new CPO definitely seems better but we'll have to see), the leaders in B2B / Partnerships blame others if numbers are not hit... or love to bring up "macroeconomic conditions." Here's a fun fact that proves my point...Google raised only $25M before going public, so when leadership blames their employees for not hitting their numbers or lowering forecasts...TAKE OWNERSHIP, LEAVE, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY.

I personally haven't taken a day off in 4 years, but my co-workers seem to take advantage of unlimited PTO in a good way...they do not abuse it.

As a people manager and obviously reporting to my direct manager, feedback is great but when asking for actions to get better, upper management can do better in mentoring their direct reports, and that includes myself TBH, but again if I had more actionable insights from my manager, I could pass that down to my direct reports, so it's unfortunately a double-edged sword.
