Waffle House is a privately held, short-order restaurant company founded in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia by Joe Rogers, Sr. and Tom Forkner.  Waffle House currently operates over 1,700 company units; there are also about 250 franchise units.  As of 2017, Waffle House, Inc. is the 4th largest operator of restaurants in America. We are proud to employ over 36,000 associates to serve our customers and communities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
